Tahilan as a Study Center is a hub for dynamic academic and cultural interaction. Supplementary activities like reviews, workshops, conferences and talks are organized throughout the year with the purpose of fostering academic excellence among today's young women. Tahilan also counts among its staff teachers of nearby universities and young professionals who offer academic orientation, tutorials, values formation and character development. At Tahilan, students are also challenged to participate in community service. The residence organizes the teaching of catechism in nearby areas, tutoring inner-city children, visiting the poor, the sick and elderly, holding medical and dental missions, and rural service projects to foster an active concern for others. Through a variety of academic, sports, social and cultural activities, Tahilan strives to contribute to the total growth of the youth. |
